Certified Doula - DONA International

In 2018, I completed my doula training. I am currently working towards my international registration with DONA, who are the world’s first, largest and leading doula certifying organisation. DONA International promotes the highest quality perinatal support for birthing mothers and their families by setting the standard for doula education and training, and by advocating the research-based benefits of doula care.


Birth Photographer - Exposing Birth with Lacey Barratt 

In 2019, I enrolled in Lacey Barrat's birth photography course, 'Exposing Birth'. It is a year long course that I hope to have completed by early 2020.   



Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) - Association for Yoga and Meditation

In 2009, I completed a Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours) at the Association for Yoga and Meditation in Rishikesh, India. This school is a registered yoga school that is affiliated with Yoga Alliance, USA. 



Prenatal Yoga Teacher - One Heart Yoga and Meditation

In 2018, I completed the 'Yoga of Birth: Teaching Prenatal Yoga Graduate Certificate'. This was a comprehensive 50-hour training With Anahata Giri from One Heart Yoga and Meditation. The Yoga of Birth Graduate Certificate is registered with Yoga Australia. 



Placenta Encapsulator - The Association of Placenta Preparation Arts, LLC (APPA) 

I have almost completed this course through APPA which will mean I will be an official placenta encapsulator. (Considered the “Bachelor’s Degree in Placenta Arts”, APPA is the most comprehensive placenta preparation training available).

Breast Feeding Support Course - DONA International 

In 2018, I completed a breastfeeding course that was facilitated by leading childbirth educator and doula trainer Jenn Fontaine.



When Survivors Give Birth Workshop - Birthwell Birthright

In 2018, I attended a workshop that focused on understanding and healing the effects of childhood sexual abuse on childbearing women. 



OSHA Blood Borne Pathogens Training - The Association of Placenta Preparation Arts, LLC (APPA) 

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established regulations for safety when working with materials that may be infected with bloodborne pathogens. 


Previous Qualifications

Bachelor of Nursing - Deakin University

In 2010, I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University. In 2011, I completed my Graduate Nursing Program at St Vincent's Public Hospital with a six-month rotation on both the general medical and the mental health wards.

Post Graduate in Teaching and Learning - Charles Darwin University

In 2014 I completed this online course whilst traveling overseas.

Diploma Of Early Childhood & Primary Education - Montessori World Education Institute

In 2016, I completed this two-year full-time course that I did whilst also teaching at the same time.
